Funding the future for Sky Vault

The project has reached this stage through the support of individuals, private companies and organisations in the form of time, skills and resources. This voluntary work has been critical to getting the project to where it is now. Sky Vault will seek charitable status to reassure funders and partners that future income is used appropriately for the project.

Money needs to be raised to take Sky Vault through the feasibility and build stages, to completion. The fundraising strategy will focus on the Big Lottery Fund 'Living Landmarks' programme. The finished Sky Vault will belong to the people of the East Midlands. In line with this ethos, there are opportunities to develop Sky Vault side projects. The nature of these projects would depend on direction from individual communities. These - and other aspects of the project that are educative - could benefit from public funding.
